Missouri Lottery: Columbia convenience store sells $5 Million Scratchers ticket
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Florida man has won the Missouri Lottery's “$5,000,000 Cash Extravaganza” after buying a Scratchers ticket in Columbia.
The ticket was sold at the Breaktime convenience store at 900 Conley Road in Columbia.
Anyone with a winning ticket of or over $600 can make a claim at all Missouri Lottery offices by appointment only. Winning tickets may also be claimed by mail.
In FY20 (July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020), players in Boone County, where the ticket was sold, won more than $20.3 million in Missouri Lottery prizes.
During the same time period, retailers received more than $2 million in commissions and bonuses in Boone County.
More than $56.9 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in Boone County. Elementary and secondary education received over $9.8 million for area schools.
The total proceeds contributed to public education in fiscal year 2019 in Missouri were more than $346 million.
