One hurt in south Columbia moped crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries in a crash Wednesday night in Columbia.

The Columbia Police Department said 21-year-old Nicholas Schneider was hurt when a car hit them head-on just before 5 p.m. on West Green Meadows Road.

CPD said Schneider was traveling westbound near Troyer Drive on his moped when a 2003 Ford Explorer driven by Hannah Jawad crossed the center line and hit them.

A news release said Schneider was wearing a helmet.
