Crash slows traffic on Interstate 70 in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: Traffic appeared to be flowing normally at about 12:10 p.m. The cause of the crash was not clear.

ORIGINAL: A crash on westbound Interstate 70 is slowing traffic through Columbia.

Boone County emergency dispatchers issued an alert about the crash near the Range Line exit ramp, west of the Highway 63 connector, at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. A Missouri Department of Transportation traffic camera showed a long line of vehicles backed up along the interstate at the crash site.

The Missouri Department of Transportation said traffic was backed up a few miles to the Lake of the Woods exit.

Details about the crash were not immediately available.
