More than 1,200 customers without power in west Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

More than 1,200 Columbia Water and Light customers were without power early Tuesday afternoon, according to the utility's outage map.

The map showed an outage affecting 1,266 customers in west Columbia near Route ZZ at about 1 p.m. A group of 35 customers was without power in east Columbia, as well, according to the map.

Details about the cause of the outages were not immediately available. The outages happened as storms were moving through Columbia.
