Police: Evidence of shooting found near ‘fireworks war’

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Police said they found shell casings after a "fireworks war" in east Columbia.

Boone County Joint Communications sent out an alert that Grace Lane was shut down from Murgeesboro Drive to Volunteer Drive around 10 p.m.

At least five officers responded to the scene.

An officer said they found several shell casings but no property damage or injuries were reported. The department had no information about who the shooter was as of 10:45 p.m.
