Broadway Urgent Care becoming new Mizzou Urgent Care clinic

ABC 17 News

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

MU Health Care announced Thursday it's joining with Broadway Urgent Care to open a new facility at the West Broadway walk-in clinic.

The letter sent out just before noon shows the facility will become a second Mizzou Urgent Care location.

MU Health Care CEO Jonathan Curtwright said more people are using walk-in facilities.

“More and more patients are choosing Mizzou Urgent Care, and we are committed to improving access so patients get the right care in the right place at the right time,” said Curtwright.

Curtwright included about 2,500 people visit the Mizzou Urgent Care on Providence Road every month.

The announcement said MU plans to keep all Broadway Urgent Care employees on-board ahead of pre-employment checks. Employees will work under the MU School of Medicine after completing the employment process.

The walk-in clinic will be closed for a short time starting March 14. It will reopen later this year. It's located at 2003 West Broadway.
