COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person was taken to the hospital after a crash with a Columbia Fire Department vehicle on Wednesday night.

The wreck happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of College Avenue and Stadium Boulevard.

Columbia Fire Department spokesman Brad Fraizer said an SUV crashed into a CFD vehicle head-on after the fire crew responded to an emergency call earlier that night.

Fraizer said the SUV driver was taken to the hospital but did not have information on that person's condition. He added no firefighters were hurt in the crash.

The fire department vehicle's front bumper was damaged from the incident.

The wreck blocked a westbound lane of Stadium Boulevard and both northbound lanes of College Avenue.
