COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A crash involving a school bus shut down all lanes of Providence Road at Interstate 70 on Friday afternoon.

The bus was carrying three Columbia Public Schools students, district spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark said. Students were not hurt and another bus came to pick them up, she said.

The road was only closed briefly.

A firefighter at the scene said a car and a school bus collided and one person was taken to a hospital. A witness told an ABC 17 News reporter that the car ran a light and hit the bus while the bus was turning.
