Cold keeps temporary warming centers open

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Columbia is opening a temporary overnight warming center at Wabash Bus Station for the second night in a row because the cold weather.

This overnight shelter serves anyone who cannot access local emergency shelter services.

Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services also operates warming shelters for the general public during normal business hours.

Other warming stations in Columbia include Activity and Recreation Center, Armory Sports and Community Center, Boone County Government Center, Columbia/Boone County health department, Columbia Mall, Columbia Public Library, the Salvation Army and Salvation Army Harbor House.
