COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police officers arrested Jesse Guillen on Derby Ridge Drive late Monday night for allegedly having drugs in his car.

Boone County prosecutors charged Guillen, 28, with possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. Guillen's probable cause statement shows officers pulled him over around 9:20 p.m. for swerving on the road.

Police say Guillen didn't cooperate with CPD after he was pulled over. Court documents say Guillen refused to roll down his window and wouldn't show his hands. Officers said he was eventually removed from the car and arrested.

Officers allege Guillen had marijuana and cocaine in the car with him. Court documents say a small amount of weed was found in his jacket and cocaine in the driver's seat.

Court documents say officers heard gunfire from the direction Guillen was driving from. Police said the alleged shooting was about a quarter-mile away from where Guillen was pulled over.

Guillen is being held in the Boone County Jail on a $15,000 bail.
