Power outage along Stadium Boulevard affects 1,500 Friday night

A power outage in Columbia is affecting about 1,500 people along Stadium Boulevard.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE as of 9:15 p.m.: Columbia Water and Light posted on its Facebook page that crews restored power around 9:08 p.m. The post says if any customers still have issues they can call Water and Light at 573-875-2555.

Columbia's electric utility shows an outage is impacting about 1,500 water and light customers along Stadium Boulevard on Friday night.

The Columbia Water and Light outage map showed the outage affected customers near the Stadium and Interstate 70 intersection around 8:10 p.m. Water and Light said crews are working at Broadway and Strawn Road to restore power.

ABC 17 reached out to Columbia authorities late on Friday night for what caused the outage and if it caused by weather.
