Project to close Cole County road for nearly a month

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Crews will shut down a Cole County road for nearly a month for construction work.

Work started on Tanner Bridge Road on March 21 as part of an improvement project. Crews have closed lanes intermittently over the last month but will now fully shut down the road.

On April 25, crews will close Tanner Bridge Road between Friendship Road and Friendship Ridge Lane. They will then remove the old road and grading for the new road alignment.

According to a news release from Cole County Public Works, the closure is expected to last through May.

Officials said that they are excited about the long term benefits of the project, but understand it could be inconvenient for some residents.

The Cole County Commission awarded M&M Landscaping and Construction the $400,000 project in February.
