Cole County R-V hires new superintendent for next school year

EUGENE, Mo. (KMIZ)

Cole County R-V announced Thursday morning it will have a new superintendent for the 2021-2022 school year.

A letter to parents posted on the district's website said Charley Burch will be taking over for the current superintendent Dawna Burrow who is retiring at the end of June.

District leaders made the decision during Wednesday's board of education meeting. The letter said Burch will officially become the new superintendent on July 1.

The letter said Burch has 15 years of experience in public education and has been a principal for the last six years at a school in Maryville, Mo.
