Cole County Public Works gives notice of permanent bridge closure

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Cole County Department of Public Works is advising motorists the bridge on Hemstreet road over the North Moreau Creek will be closed permanently on Nov. 2, 2020. The bridge will be demolished sometime in 2021.

MoDOT told officials the life of the bridge is at its end and no longer feasible to maintain it to keep it safe.

The bridge was built in 1930 and the daily traffic of it is less than 50 vehicles per day.
