Single-vehicle crash leaves one injured

Cole County authorities are investigating after a single-vehicle crash injured one person.

According to the Jefferson City Police Department, Morgan Strong, 31, was driving southbound in the 1800 block of Tanner Bridge Road just before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

That's when Strong lost control, drove off the roadway and struck a tree. Strong was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Reports say Strong was transported to University Hospital with serious injuries.

Alcohol is also believed to have been involved, according to the press release.
