Heavy rain leaves behind some flooding in Cole County

BRAZITO, Mo. (KMIZ)

Cole County Public Works Director, Larry Benz said the county saw five inches of rain Thursday night leaving behind flooding in parts of Brazito.

Benz said the community needs to watch for water on the roads, specifically at West Brazito Road, and when residents see flooding, they should remember to turn around don't drown.

The current depths of the water on West Brazito road is unknown.

Streets in Versailles off State Highway 52 were flooded after the rain moved through as well.
