Cole County engineers brace for winter weather

The director of Cole County Public Works said Tuesday that his department is preparing equipment to handle anticipated winter weather.

Larry Benz told ABC 17 News that crews are working to get trucks ready to handle any potential freezing precipitation or snow in the coming days.

It comes after the department's equipment was strained in early 2019 after a harsh winter.
