Water shut off in Keytesville due to water main break; schools closed

KEYETSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

Water has been shut off in Keytesville due to a water main break, according to a Facebook post from Chariton County EMS.

All residents in Keytesville are affected, according to the post. Chariton County EMS stated there’s no estimate for when the water department will turn it back on.

The Keytesville School District posted on its Facebook page that school would be closed Wednesday. The post did not mention Thursday and Friday classes.

There will be a 72-hour boil order in place once the water is turned back on, the post states.
