Carrollton woman killed in Chariton County crash

CHARITON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person died in a crash in Chariton County Sunday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash at 2:50 p.m. on Highway 11 one mile north of Brunswick.

Troopers said 68-year-old Caren Bittiker, of Carrollton, was traveling southbound when her vehicle went off the right side of the road and flipped.

Bittiker was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Highway Patrol reported she was wearing a seatbelt.
