A judge set a bond amount for a  Sunrise Beach man charged with twenty counts of child endangerment on Friday morning.

According to a release from the Camden County Prosecutor, a judge set the bond for Brett Emehiser to $250,000. This was changed from the no bond previously set by the court.

Emehiser, 44, faces 20 counts of felony child endangerment, according to court records. Camden County Prosecuting Attorney Richelle Grosvenor said in a news release that Emehiser was arrested after driving a school bus with at least 20 children under age 17 on Sept. 13 after drinking.

The release states Grosvenor argued no bond should be set because he is a danger to the community.

Online court documents state Emehiser will be on house arrest and also to be monitored using a GPS tracking device.

Conditions of his bond also include not having any alcohol, will be monitored by an alcohol monitoring device and not being allowed to drive any motor vehicle or watercraft.

His next hearing date is set for Oct. 8 at 1 p.m.
