Camdenton man charged with multiple counts of sex crimes against a child
CAMDENTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Camdenton man is charged with multiple sex crimes against a child after a nine-month investigation after a tip from a parent.
According to a press release, Thomas Lee Earl Carnahan is charged with three counts of statutory rape of someone under the age of 14 and two counts of statutory sodomy of someone under the age of 14.
According to court records, Carnahan is accused of having sex with a person under the age of 14 from Sept. 1, 2020, to June 24, 2021.
During the investigation, a search warrant was used to get information from Snapchat. That information was used to lead to the arrest of Carnahan. Carnahan during a Miranda-waived interview admitted to the sexual relationship.
The court denied giving bond to Carnahan.
Carnahan had his initial court appearance Monday morning in the Camden County Courthouse.
