Preliminary hearing held in Camden County murder for hire case

CAMDENTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Lake of the Ozarks woman accused of trying to hire someone to commit murder was in court Monday.

Leigh Bauman appeared in Camden County court on a charge of conspiracy to commit a felony.

Another court hearing is scheduled for her at 9 a.m. on April 7.

Investigators say she tried to hire someone to kill her mother-in-law.

Bauman is being held in the Camden County Jail tonight on no bond.
