Wednesday chase and wreck in Camden County leads to damaged property

JASPER TOWNSHIP, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Camden County chase ended after the vehicle wrecked into a garage at the end of Nuttall Oak Dr.

A Laurie police officer arrested Joseph Rains after a vehilce pursuit from Morgan County into Camden County.

The officer wrote in the probable cause statement that Morgan County Communications requested assistance with a 'careless and imprudent driver' and the officer found the vehicle at 301 s. Main.

In court documents, the officer says the vehicle ignored emergency equipment drove down onto Nuttall Oak Dr. The driver then wrecked into a garage damaging the garage and trailer.

The owner of the trailer told police the trailer and garage would cost $6,000 to replace both.

Online court records reveal Rains is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest.

Rains has a $20,000 cash or surety bond in Camden County.
