Camden County Sheriff’s Department report two taken into custody after traffic stop

On Sunday, deputies with the Camden County Sheriff's Department stopped a vehicle in the area of North State Highway 5 and Standing Rock Road.

Officials say that as the vehicle came to a stop, 22-year-old Ryan M Holloway, of Camdenton, ran from the vehicle.

According to deputies, they caught Holloway after a brief foot chase.

Holloway and a female were taken into custody without further incident.

During the investigation, deputies reportedly found illegal prescription medication and a glass smoking pipe with residue that field tested positive for meth.

Holloway has warrants out of Camden County on 13 different charges ranging from felony charges to probation violations.

Holloway was additionally charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was denied bond. He remains at the Camden County Jail pending court.
