Mokane man has serious injuries after vehicle hits parked car

MOKANE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Mokane man was seriously injured Thursday evening after his vehicle hit a parked car in Callaway County on Route C near Moore Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred as a 2008 Ford Explorer – driven by Kerri Pierson, 55, of Mokane – went off the right side of the roadway, returned and started to skid. The Ford then traveled off the left side of the road, overturned and hit parked a vehicle and two mailboxes, according to the crash report.

There was no one in the second vehicle, which was a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt.

Pierson was brought to University Hospital by ambulance. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Both vehicles were totaled.
