CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said drivers should try to avoid part of westbound Interstate 70 in Callaway County after a crash.

The patrol's Troop F, which covers much of central Missouri, posted a message on its social media accounts at about 1:30 p.m. saying troopers are working a crash at the 152-mile marker of Interstate 70, east of Kingdom City.

The patrol said the crash involved multiple vehicles but gave no other details. The agency asked drivers to avoid the area.

Troop F spokesman Cpl. Kyle Green said the crash might involve five vehicles but little information from the scene was available.
