Boonville City Council approves site plan for possible medical marijuana facility

The Boonville City Council approved plans for a potential medical marijuana facility at its meeting Monday night.

According to the final site plan, MOCO, LLC plans to build a 28,500-square-foot cultivation and office building at 2419 Nor-Cat Way. The ordinance signed by the president of the council said that the City Council evaluated the site plans and found them to be "appropriate and beneficial to further economic development of the city."

The planning and zoning commission approved the final site plans Oct. 8 before sending them to the council.

According to records from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, MOCO, LLC is one of five companies to apply for a license for a medical marijuana facility in Boonville.
