Cooper’s Landing plans large-scale improvements

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Cooper's Landing in Boone County announced it will begin remodeling this fall to make significant improvements.

The business says in a news release that these will include facility enhancements and expanded amenities, along with a new main building. The project will also improve accessibility and increase flood resistance.

The accessible facilities are planned to include new bathrooms and showers, the release says. Plans are also underway to improve Smith Hatchery Road in front of the venue, according to the release.

Cooper's Landing didn't give a price tag for the improvements.

The business is owned by longtime concert promoter Richard King, known for his work with the Roots N Blues Festival and The Blue Note.
