Boone County officials celebrate groundbreaking of new regional law enforcement training center

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Boone County officials held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday morning at the Boone County Public Safety Campus for the new law enforcement regional training center. According to previous reporting, it will also include a 24/7 daycare service for the children of first responders.

Construction of the training center is expected to be completed by late 2025. Previous reporting indicates the county would spend $4 million building the center and another $4 million would come from the federal government.
