BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A couple dozen people in Boone County lost power Saturday night because of downed power lines after strong winds and a storm swept through the area.

Boone Electric Cooperative's outage map showed nine outages affecting just after 10 p.m. Saturday.

These outages popped up after Boone County Joint Communications reported power lines down near Nifong and State Farm Parkway causing power issues.
