COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Boone County government's phone lines and internet service went down Thursday morning but 911 was still active.

The county government said the outage affected all locations including the government center, public safety campus, annex, community services and other offices. 911 and 311 remain operational, according to a news release.

The outage affected incoming and outgoing calls and county websites, which were inaccessible. It wasn't immediately clear how long it would take to fix the outage.
