Duplex damaged in west Columbia fire

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Both units of a west Columbia duplex were damaged in a fire Wednesday morning.

An ABC 17 News crew could see flames coming from the window of a duplex on Germantown Drive. Heavy smoke was pouring from the building as firefighters battled the flames.

A Boone County Fire Protection District spokesman said no one was injured in the fire. The cause was not immediately known and a fire investigator was at the scene.

Firefighters found damage to each unit in the duplex.

Multiple Boone County Fire Protection District trucks were at the scene.
