Ashland Police reschedule drone use to monitor school traffic Tuesday
ASHLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)
Due to a reschedule, the Ashland Police Department will now use two drones to monitor school traffic for South Boone County School District.
Officials say the two drones will fly from 7:30 a.m. to 8:05 a.m. near E. Liberty Ln. at S. Henry Clay Blvd. and N. Main St. at W. Broadway.
The flights should not affect any traffic.
Largely due to precautions regarding COVID-19, school-related traffic has increased this school year.
The Southern Boone County School District has already implemented changes to drop off and pick up procedures to alleviate some of the congestion.
