Boil advisory affects areas of south Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Consolidated Water of Boone County is telling its customers in the area of south Columbia to boil water after a main leak.

The utility sent out a notice Wednesday morning that a leak in a water main led to low pressure and prompted a boil advisory for customers on Bearfield Road, in the Bearfield subdivision, on Rock Quarry Road, Happy Hollow, Gans Road and Highway 163 from Rock Bridge Elementary to the state park entrance.

The advisory is in effect until noon Thursday.
