Bomb squad searches bus, unable to locate bomb

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Deputies with the Boone County Sheriff's Department responded to a bomb threat on a bus Saturday.

According to a media release, deputies were told a passenger on a bus heading westbound found writing that indicated there was a bomb on the bus.

The bus driver stopped at a business in the 6400 block of West Highway 40 a contacted law enforcement.

The Mid-Missouri Bomb Squad searched the bus and were unable to locate a bomb or other device.

The investigation took about two hours before the bus continued to travel and the business returned to normal.
