Two arrested for alleged burglary in Audrain County

AUDRAIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Early Saturday morning, two people were arrested after they were caught on security cameras allegedly burglarizing a home in Audrain County. 

The Audrain County Sheriff arrested 22-year-old Jared VonVain and 30-year-old Kathleen Smith, both from Middletown. They're both in ail awaiting formal charges.

After an Audrain County home-owner called the sheriff's office, deputies said they used K9s to find the suspects in some woods behind the house off Audrain Road 572. According to the sheriff's office, some items belonging to the homeowner were found with the suspects.

A third suspect was detained and released by deputies. The Audrain County Sheriff says its seeking charges against them as well.
