MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)
A man is accused of multiple felonies after allegedly hitting another man with a frying pan in December.
Jordan Castillo, 20, is charged with second-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.
The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office was called for a domestic assault report on Dec. 9. The alleged victim said his stepson, Castillo, was at his residence. Castillo was allegedly with his girlfriend and the two had been arguing throughout the day, according to the probable cause statement. The victim was annoyed and told them to leave.
The alleged victim started walking to his bedroom to grab his cellphone and Castillo followed. Castillo then hit him with a black frying pan, according to the probable cause statement. A “struggle” between the two began and the victim was hit with the frying pan multiple times.
Castillo was allegedly wearing steel-toe boots and kicked the victim in the head several times after he was on the ground, according to the statement.
A sheriff’s deputy noticed swelling and bruising on the victim. The deputy also found a dent on the frying pan.
Castillo was interviewed at the sheriff’s office on Jan. 11 and allegedly admitted to hitting his stepfather with a frying pan and kicking him.
A no-bond warrant was issued on Thursday. A confined docket and bond hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Audrain County Courthouse.
