Ashland Police Department to hold training at Southern Boone Primary School this weekend

ASHLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Ashland Police Department will hold a response training with other law enforcement agencies this weekend at Southern Boone Primary School, according to a Wednesday press release.

The training will take place from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, the release says.

The training will be instructed by Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training from Texas State University in coordination with the Missouri State University Public Safety Center, the release says. There will be an increased law enforcement presence both days at the school.

“We understand that the sight of numerous police vehicles and officers can be concerning, but we want to reassure you that these activities are solely for training purposes,” the release says.
