Witnesses say a man opened fire on police officers and hit more than one on a busy street in Fargo, North Dakota, before other officers shot him. Fargo police described the shooting Friday afternoon as a “critical incident” and said the situation was very difficult for them. They haven’t confirmed if anyone was shot. A Fargo hospital spokesperson says it received patients after the shooting but that updates on their conditions would come from police. Witness Chenoa Peterson told The Associated Press she was driving nearby when a man pulled out a gun and began firing at police. Police say they will release details later.
