JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli police say five people have been wounded in a car ramming attack near a popular market in Jerusalem as Israel celebrated its Memorial Day for fallen soldiers. The police statement Monday said a Palestinian man driving a car hit people at a busy intersection near the bustling, open-air Mahane Yehuda market. A person nearby shot and killed the suspected attacker, identified by Israeli media as a married father of five from a Palestinian section of east Jerusalem. The attack came hours after the Palestinian Health Ministry says Israeli forces operating in a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank killed a Palestinian man.
