NEW YORK (AP) — Martin Scorsese says he hopes today’s powerful streaming companies will do more to sustain moviegoing by building theaters of their own. In an interview with The Associated Press, Scorsese said the experience of watching movies at home is “OK but it’s not what it should be.” Scorsese’s latest is a documentary for Showtime about the trailblazing protopunk musician David Johansen. “Personality Crisis: One Night Only” debuts Friday on Showtime. Later this year, Scorsese will premiere his period epic “Killers of the Flower Moon,” a film for Apple receiving a full theatrical release.
