ROME (AP) — Leaders of the world’s biggest economies are working to finalize agreement on climate financing and a deadline for reaching carbon neutrality on the final day of a weekend summit in Rome. Diplomats say negotiators for the Group of 20 worked through the night and talks continued Sunday morning. A French official said the leaders had agreed to the still-unmet goal of providing $100 billion annually to help poorer countries cope with climate change as well as a common goal to keep global warming from exceeding 1.5 degrees Celsius higher than the pre-industrial average. The sticking point remained the deadline to reach carbon neutrality.
