Armed suspect holds hostage at Amsterdam Apple Store

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — An armed person is holed up in the Amsterdam Apple Store with at least one hostage in an hours-long standoff with scores of police massed outside. Police said Tuesday that several people had managed to leave the building during the hostage-taking that has lasted more than three hours but declined to give more detail about the situation in the popular store. Armed police are gathered outside the store on one of the Dutch capital’s most popular squares.
