Man found guilty of murder in 2020 fatal shooting of Missouri officer

ST. LOUIS (AP) — A man charged with killing a St. Louis police officer in 2020 has been found guilty of murder. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that a jury convicted 46-year-old Thomas Kinworthy of murder and eight other charges in the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Officer Tamarris Bohannon. The officer had responded to a call in August 2020 after an armed man ordered a family out of their home and barricaded himself inside. Police said they were searching for another shooting victim when Bohannon was shot in the head. The officer died the next day. A second officer was shot in the leg and wounded in the confrontation.
