Booker scores 21 as Eastern Illinois knocks off Lindenwood 72-57

CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Tiger Booker had 21 points in Eastern Illinois’ 72-57 victory over Lindenwood on Saturday night.

Booker also contributed five assists for the Panthers (13-14, 7-7 Ohio Valley Conference). Corey Swayer Jr. scored 15 points, shooting 5 for 14 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free throw line. Kyndall Davis shot 4 for 11, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points, while adding 10 rebounds and three blocks.

Jaylon McDaniel led the way for the Lions (8-19, 2-12) with 10 points and six rebounds. Keenon Cole added nine points for Lindenwood. In addition, Isaac Ondekane had nine points and two blocks.

These two teams both play Thursday. Eastern Illinois visits Tennessee State and Lindenwood hosts UT Martin.
