Shooting kills one man, injures another in St. Louis suburb

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) — Police are investigating a shooting in a St. Louis suburb that left one man dead and another man injured. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that University City police said officers found two men who had been shot in the 7800 block of Birchmont Drive after the shooting was reported around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Both men were taken to a hospital where a 24-year-old man died. Police said an 18-year-old man was in stable condition at the hospital. Police did not immediately release the victims’ names or any additional details about the shooting.
