Man charged in fatal shooting in Kansas City’s Westport area

KMIZ

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A 21-year-old man is charged with first-degree murder and 10 other counts after a shooting in Kansas City’s Westport entertainment district left one person dead and two others injured. The Jackson County Prosecutor’s office said Thursday that Kershmire Ralls, of Kansas City, is charged in the Dec. 6 death of Jabraughn James. A police affidavit says video from the area shows Ralls watching the three victims in a Westport bar. The video says Ralls followed the victims after they left the bar and eventually shot them as they fled. Prosecutors say the victims appeared to have no idea they were in danger.
