Police investigating shooting death of woman in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Police in Kansas City are investigating the city’s latest shooting death after officers found a woman fatally wounded on a sidewalk. Police say the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the northeastern section of the city. Officers called to the scene found the woman unresponsive on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound. Paramedics declared her dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately released. Police have not announced any arrests or suspects in the case.
