Police ID person found fatally shot in Kansas City as teen

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Police have identified a person found with fatal gunshot wounds inside a vehicle on a Kansas City street as a 15-year-old boy. Police say in a news release that 15-year-old Kamari Bridges died from his injuries in the shooting. Officers found Bridges around 8:30 p.m. Sunday in a car on the eastern edge of the Blue Hills neighborhood. He was taken to a hospital, where police say he died overnight. Detectives and forensics staff processed the scene for evidence and canvased the area for witnesses. No arrests have been announced.
