St. Louis man sentenced in woman’s death during police chase

KMIZ

ST. LOUIS (AP) — A 25-year-old St. Louis man was sentenced to eight years in prison for killing a St. Louis County woman in a crash while he was fleeing from police. Danny Harris was sentenced Thursday after he pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of a crash. Police said Harris was fleeing from police in July 2019 when his vehicle hit a car in which Reniece Randle was a passenger. She died at the scene. Prosecutors said Harris fled from officers after one of them saw him involved in a drug deal. The officers said they suspended the chase before the fatal collision.
